Ways to get high school students to participate in charity

Question

I am head of the school charity organization's this school year and I am looking for ways to encourage students in participating in the charities. Either raising money or collecting items for the poor, any suggestion. Thank you in advance!!

Check out Kids Care Clubs.  It is a website that provides lots of project suggestions and it outlines how to complete each project from start to finish.  I was a teacher, and my students and I had a club.   They have lots of good ideas: collecting stuffed animals for young children in 3rd world countries, making cards for hospital patients, etc.  Good luck!!

teenagers these days want to do things for themselves rather than charity

so i guess if you ask them to do something, there has to be something in it for them
