  1. You should eat a lot of carbs, such as rice, pasta, and such. Also eat a lot of veggies and fruits, so you'll get used to it, when tryouts start. I sugguest you run at least 2 miles a day, or 3+ if you fit, with weights, since your trying out for football, probably run with weights that are 3 lbs + on your hands, and leg weights would be awesome too. Later on, after you get used to the weight, you should increase it a little. You should probably run around 5 pm +, when it isn't that hot. Do about 3 sets of 25 push-ups, sit-ups, and stablilzers a day, and start increasing it as time goes by. Lungees will help too, agility and speed is very important in football, so I suggest you do fartleks, like running (almost sprinting) fast for 1 minute, then jog for 2 minutes and such. When the season comes, you'll be fit in no time and the weights you ran with, will make it seem easier, since during football tryouts, you won't be needing them. Hope this helped, good luck and I hope you make the team :)
