  1. well, i became a vegetarian, like, 2 weeks ago (not vegan) so, here are some things that give you protein. If you still eat fish then that has protein, peanuts, tofu is a great source, all nuts actually, milk or soy. You can look on the back of the food where it sais the calories and it tells you the amount of protein it has. Try counting how much you get for two or three days to get an idea. You should deffinately take supplements too though, especially for iron and vitamin b12. Sorry, thats all i know of, Good Luck!

    Hope that helped!!!!! :D

  2. umm...........you can eat cereal it has protien and fruit do 2 like apple orange and grapes

  3. You can try eating meatless burgers, and other meatless substitutes for meat, like veggie meals. They have lots of protein in them, and they taste quite good! Go to www.seeveggiesdifferently.com for easy recipies & food ideas!

  4. It depends on what kind of vegetarian you are. Some vegetarians don't eat dairy and some do. If you do, you can eat lowfat cheese, eggs, drink milk, yogurt, etc. Dairy is a good source of protein.

If you do not eat dairy, nuts, peanut butter/almond butter, soybeans, soy milk, whole grains in bread and pasta, beans, tofu, brown rice... and if that doesn't help, you can always resort to nasty protein bars!

  5. that's a myth.

  6. Egg, large - 6 grams protein

    Milk, 1 cup - 8 grams

    Cottage cheese, ½ cup - 15 grams

Yogurt, 1 cup – usually 8-12 grams, check label

Soft cheeses (Mozzarella, Brie, Camembert) – 6 grams per oz

Medium cheeses (Cheddar, Swiss) – 7 or 8 grams per oz

Hard cheeses (Parmesan) – 10 grams per oz

Tofu, ½ cup 20 grams protein

    Tofu, 1 oz, 2.3 grams

    Soy milk, 1 cup - 6 -10 grams

Most beans (black, pinto, lentils, etc) about 7-10 grams protein per

    half cup of cooked beans

Soy beans, ½ cup cooked – 14 grams protein

Split peas, ½ cup cooked – 8 grams

Peanut butter, 2 Tablespoons - 8 grams protein

    Almonds, ¼ cup – 8 grams

    Peanuts, ¼ cup – 9 grams

    Cashews, ¼ cup – 5 grams
