I am totally in shape. I would know because after sprints I feel fine. Anyways, I want to know when doing long distance running. Or one sprinting activity after another how do you make your self not dizzy anymore?

  1. After your run, keep moving.  When you cross the finish line or end your long run or sprint, jog for a couple of minutes, then walk for a couple of minutes.

When you run long or strenuously, your blood vessels expand and your heart beats faster to keep your muscles functioning.  If you stop suddenly, your heart slows.  It takes a while for the blood vessels to shrink and this causes low blood pressure that makes you feel dizzy or even faint.  By jogging and walking as a cool-down you keep the blood pumping as your body recovers.

This has helped me a lot as I suffer from the same thing.  Towards the end of a long run if I'm stopped at a traffic light I'll run in place for example.

If you can't take the time to cool down or feel really dizzy, lie down and elevate your legs by propping them against a tree or the like for a few minutes.  Elevating your legs allows gravity to help get blood to the brain until things return to normal.
