  1. Light clothes, a hat, and a personal mister.

(This is not a spray bottle)

  2. a wet rag on the back of the neck always works well.. also wear a bucket hat to provide some shade to your face and wear sunglasses and sunscreen. Just remember to keep plenty of fluids in your body and not just water, this tends to deplete your sodium and can make you over-hydrated

  3. use a fan. go swimming, go play with the water hose. drink a lot of cold water. stay in the shade.

  4. Don't wear flip flops- they'll keep you cool, but you will be walking around pieces of wood and nails.Wear hard-soled shoes and sturdy jeans or work pants for safety reasons.

Make sure you drink lots and lots of water, even if you don't feel extremely thirsty. Add some fruit juice and a pinch of salt or a scoop of gatorade powder if you know you'll be sweating a lot. Don't drink water that's really cold- it can make you sick to your stomach if you are working.

Wear a light floppy hat or a light-colored baseball cap (unless you are required to wear a hard hat)

Wear light-colored t-shirts made out of cotton or natural blends that won't trap heat. They'll get really dirty and it's really difficult to wash off paint or tar, so use old ones that you don't care about  or buy really cheap ones.

Some camping stores and athletic stores sell bandana-like thingies  that you put around your neck and they stay cold.I put one on when I go on long runs, but I'm not sure what they're called. You submerge them in cold water for couple minutes, and the crystals inside them stay cold for several hours. They are between $8-$15, so it might be  a good investment. Look for them next to the camping equipment like water bottles, waterproof  wallets, etc.

If you get really hot, put your wrists in cold water for a little bit.

you can also pour some water over your head and on your neck (if you wear a thin white t-shirt, make sure you wear a bra that covers you completely or a camisole before you decide to pour water on you).

Eat lots of water-rich foods like fruit and veggies.

Have fun on your trip- it's a very rewarding experience.

  5. get something cool and put

it on top of your elbows thin on the back of the neck

  6. You can buy "cooling" lotions, that tingle your skin and really keep you cool. They worked for me. Usually in a mint or seabreeze scent/feel. You can get them at department stores, or pharmacies. Just ask around!

  7. Maybe wear white clothes while in the sun. Wear black in the shade. Remember white reflects the sun's rays and heat so you won't heat up. And black in shade black emits heat radiation so you lose heat faster.

  8. cotton, sun screen, flipflops, lots of water to drink your body will acclimate.  I worked on a SC farm one summer it hit 100 degrees and I couldn't get out of the sun, I am from NH, so I wasn't used to it, but I found I got used to it after a week.

  9. Soak your shirt, pour water on your head, stay in shade

  10. 1. Take bath as many times as possible.

    2. Eat more fruits and vegetables in diet.

    3. Wear Bright colored cottons.

    4. Stay in shade and near a window which does not let in the sunlight.
