Okay lately in the past several weeks spiders have been liking my house and especially MY bedroom. In the past 2 weeks there have been 5 thick black ones (that are fat o.o). 3 on my bedrrom walls, 1 at the bedroom door and then one in a different room. And there have been many manyyyy other ones (like daddy long legs or other spiders - big OR small). Please list as many ways to get rid of and keep out spiders as possible!!! I'm really scared of them :(

  1. Go to a Home Depot or Lowe's near you. Actually, any home and garden store will work. They're sure to have insect repellents that will keep more than just spiders outside of your home. My mom is an arachnophobic and I just hate spiders. Daddy long leg's are nothing to be afraid of though. Their mouths are too tiny to bite you first of all and they kill and eat other bugs that intrude your house.

  2. I HATE spiders, too.

I suggest you buy special bug spray that you're supposed to spray around the border of your room, windows, and vents. Ask someone at a store.

  3. well for starters the daddy long legs are the most venumous spider there is, only thing is they don't have big enough fangs to bite u so don't worry about them.

sounds crazy but vapor rub (vicks save) works wonders, spiders hate it, so try rubbing some around the windows and what ever else u like and u will not be bothered by them again.

also i would fumagate with a fogger also to clear them from unchecked places in the house.

  4. Do you have screens on the windows?  Or are there any small holes in your room or closet?  They could be coming in that way since they especially like your room.  Be careful of any spray so that you don't breathe in alot of fumes.  Spray around the baseboards, doors and windows and be sure to check your closet for any problems.

  5. Go to Walmart or where ever and get Ortho Max and spay your window seals all around the borders of your room.  Its oderless and its harmless once its dry.  I use this stuff like crazy.  I got bit by a brown recluse last year and we had the black spiders wolf spiders everywhere.  I sprayed the whole house up and down twice this year with that stuff and I have only seen two spiders.  Compared to last year It was about 200 of them.  It works good for other things also like ants.  I am scared to death of spiders and this has made me more comfortable in my home and its only like 7.00 for a big jug of it.

  6. You could try a good insect surface spray, such as Baygon, or Mortein ( try cans that specialise in spiders and other walking pests). Both of those work really well. Just spray around window frames, on and around door frames and the floors, wherever it leads into another room. Spray around the edges of the floor where the floor meets the wall and if you are able to reach, on the edge of the ceiling and wall too - anywhere you think they might go. The product should be good for up to 3 months - You can also buy outdoor surface spray.

There is also a product on the market, which emits a high electrical frequency. An electronics company such as d**k Smith Electronics could give you the name, as it presently escapes me - sorry. The down side to this one, is that it actually increases the number of pests for a small amount of time before insisting that ALL insects pack their bags and move out. They absolutely hate the electromagnetic wave that the device emits.

Other than the other two, leave a can of good bug spray in each frequently used or easily accessible room, including your bedroom.
