Ways to make running easier?

Are there any ways to ease into/make running easier that work well? My biggest problems are foot and chin pains. I think I found the right shoes but I was on a budget so they probably aren't exactly top of the line either. Asics gel type shoes. Anyway, I know that running would be the absolute best thing for me to whip myself into better shape, but it would be nice to hear some tips on how to make it easier on me,

  1. ice them everyday when you get home from your run. if possible run on grass, asphault or dirt. drink plenty of water.

    but i usually watch tv on my treadmill

  3. get a mp3 player i can run twice as long because my mind is active

  4. You might have somthing called Shinslpints.  All you have to do to get rid of them is tap your toes while you are standing or sitting (this works the muscles).  The motion should look like someone who is impatient

  5. foot and shin pains I assume.

    Run on soft surfaces. Grass or dirt trails
