Ways to prepare for mile run?

I have a mile run in exactly a week. how should i prepare?

  1. drink lots of water and work out your legs a lot. stretch them out so they are prepared. i usually prepare by doing DDR. it's stupid but works! eat a healthy breakfast and pull your hair back.


  2. wear light cotton fabrics.  sports bra.

  3. Eat light that morning - No meats for a 2 days before

    Drink water in sips, DO NOT CHUG!!

    In the nose. out the mouth. Breath like that. Slow, deep breaths.

  4. keep running everyday. jog nonstop for 5 minutes, then increase it to 10 minutes the next day, etc.

    you should do fine on the day of the mile. they thing to remember is to never stop and walk. if you walk, you'll become addicted to that walking and you won't want to run.

    don't forget to stretch before running! good luck!

  6. Build up your endurance and run after school or whenever you can.

    Try not to eat junk food until then to keep yourself light and healthy feeling.

    run 5 miles every day

  8. make sure you are hydrated BEFORE the run.  If your not you will be cramping up.  Eat a banana or two also.  Stay calm, focus and keep your head straight ahead.
