I'm completely stuck and I cant find a tutor in the building for help. I'm on p7 in unit 1 and it says 'Identify ways to reflect on personal practice'. All I can think of is thinking what you could have done differently after activities and asking children and having meetings (feedback and evaluation).

  1. Questionnaire to parents and staff

Looking at Core Outcomes and do a checklist of whether I'm meeting these.

Evaluation sheet-showing what the aim was and whether I reached it and what I can do differently.

Reflective diary entry-based on an event of some kind.

Looking at training development-where are you in training ,what training you'd like to do to support yourself and make a plan from this.

Get someone to observe you then you can evaluate.

  2. Reflecting on your practice involves thinking about the situation, how you acted, evaluating your responses, considering things you may have done differently and issues that you may not have considered previously. In summary it is about being a reflective practitioner in order to be an effective practitioner!! Remember to be thoughtful in your interactions, it is like having a narrative of your actions, rather like a Jiminy cricket on your shoulder, constantly appraising and considering the options and the best suited action. I hope this helps
