Ways to stay cool during the summerrr?!?

my family rarely uses air conditioning because how expensive it is and i cant sleep to my fan caz it makes a ticking noise that i cant stand!! when i open my window it lets all the hot air in

how can i stay cool at night this summer caz its so hot i cant even sleep!!!!

Go to other people's houses that have their air on and the malls, stores, etc.

Damp wash cloths spread all over the hottest parts of your body mixed with the fan. You can buy a new fan for $10-15.00. They're not that expensive. Or if you want really cold, you can try to sleep with a frozen bottle of water. You can also take a cool shower then very lightly dry off, so you're still slightly damp, then go to bed with the fan on.

It's the movement of air is what makes you feel cool, not the actual temperature around you.
