Wdo you think cheerleading is a sport?

Question

well do you? theres a big argument against the cheerleaders and skaters weird i know but what do you think?

i honestly dont think moveing your arms and screaming poetry is not a sport but i want others oppions

plz no rude remarks its just a question guys and no were in my question did it as for a rude remark.

I was a Cheerleader and Both of my Girls (13 and 17) are Cheerleaders. High School Cheer is not REALLY a Sport anymore...to many things are NOW against the Board Rules...There is very little Stunting and Gymnastics allowed...BUT Competition Cheer is a Sport like ANY Other, Comp takes ALOT of Athletic Talent and Skill.

i used to cheer for about 3 years, it takes a lot of tolerance (more than the regular person) to put up with drama and ****. also, they have to lift eachother into the air. for example, single base: http://i536.photobucket.com/albums/ff327...

i mean, could the regular person do that? and most cheerleaders in all stars have their back handspring-back tuck when they are a sophmore or junior in highschool. it takes a lot of muscles and a lot of flexibility. those little youth and middle school cheerleaders, no, they arent doing much of a sport but you tell me this http://media.photobucket.com/video/club%... doesn't take at least a little bit of athleticism.

as for skateboarders, its along the same lines, it takes talent and it takes some determination to land tricks, same as bmx.

hey, if golf and throwing a lead ball are classified as "Athletic" i say cheerleading and skateboarding is too.

I don't think it is a sport.  However, if you ever watch ESPN from time to time they have Cheerleading Competitions.  

Maybe if they were all given an attitude adjustment pill we could all stomach them a little easier!

Cheerleading is a sport,  although i am not a cheerleader myself, i know that you have to do some gymnastics as well as cheering your team on

cheerleading is a sport.  i got my head bashed today at practice, so people who say that cheerleaders are just little girls in skirts should come to one of my practices.
