We're going to different high schools....but im still in love him?

so theres this boy whos been in like all of my classes since third grade and we had become girl-boy best friends. we had lunch everyday together at school and we've had such great times together in the past 5 years. now we are separating for the first time since we were 8 yrs old because we are going to different high schools this year. so what im rly saying is that i truly think im in love with this kid and im pretty depressed about going our different ways. i think he just think of me as a friend but i want to be more and i dont know how with us not being in school together. i'm not rly sure what im asking maybe just advice on what to do...thanks

It shouldn't be hard to stay in touch with him -- you've got email and text messaging, probably, so it should be pretty easy.  Don't try to slap a label on your relationship, like "boyfriend" or "in love".  Just enjoy keeping up with what's going on in each other's lives.  Give each other a chance to grow, meet new people and experience new things -- don't try to clutch to each other.

Are you still living in the same area? If you are, consider yourself lucky. You can still talk on the phone and hang out on the weekends.

It is possible to be in a relationship or have a friendship when you don't see each other every day. My boyfriend lives 8 hours away and we've been going out for over a year. If it's meant to be, it will work out in the end.
