We're going to figi. island hopping or one hotel?

we are in the process of booking our honeymoon to fiji in early august. we want to go for 10-12 days. should we book one hotel for all nights, or not book anything and book on the spot, or book an all inclusive? any ideas?

o man that sounds awesome.. FIJI looks beautiful even tho i never been there.. i would love to. if i were u guys i would spend as much time as possible there and try see everything. however long it may take, after all it is your honeymoon and u want to make the most/best of it

Hey, i live in Hawaii, and i can tell you, that you can spend alot of time exploring just one island. I hear alot of amazing things about Fiji [we islanders always explore other islands too]. But if i were you i would pick one or two islands...three tops, and just get to know those specific islands. :)

Book somewhere for the first 3 or 4 nights, then you can always check into a different place if you want.

I have been to Fiji a couple of times and it is a great place to go for a honeymoon.  I would recommend you to go to one of those upmarket couples-only allowed boutique resorts out on one of the islands (not Denarue - it is a bit artificial) for the first 5-7 days then look into a sailing trip for the last few days.  Google sailing Fiji or Fiji kayaking for some great ideas.  We recently came back from Likuliku and thought the resort was great and the food was fantastic (and we are tough food critics).  Check out trip advisor if you don't already use it.  You get honest reviews from people who have stayed at places (which is so much better than reading hotels' own advertising).  Good luck with the wedding!
