  1. She say to lay in the sun....

make sand castle, take a tour, go to the international market, go shopping, surfing, snorkeling, sightseeing, go see the hoopla dance, jet skiing, etc......

Oh... don't my forget my souvenir.

    LOL.........

  2. don't let him surf

the waves are pretty big and there is always a ton of surfers and people in the water

    climb diamond head

it takes about 1 hour and there is tons of benches on the sides to rest

its about 15 mins drive from waikiki beach so go to the beach after

buy a 2$ inner tube from a local ABC store (They have smaller ones for kids) everyone just brings the inner tubes into the ocean

and rides the waves its a lot of fun

go on a whale/dolphine watching tour on a boat

go on a submarine underwater tour, thats a lot of fun

at evening one night walk around downtown waikiki which is right on the beach

go to the Sea Life Park which is 15 mins from waikiki or the honolulu zoo

don't go to the vetern WW2 place

    any kid will be bored

    go to paradise cove

or swim with the dophines and string rays

go kayaking then go to a luau for dinner one night

or snokel in hana mouna bay, its one of the best snokel areas in oahu

  3. The absolute coolest place to go with kids is the area around Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. There are so many things to do there that kids love, especially a five year old boy. There's the amazing swimming and playing in the sand, there's a shady playground, the army museum with a canon to climb on, penguins and other animals and the fireworks at the hilton, and popsicles and treats at the hale koa hotel snack bar. Also, if you can rent a car for the day and go to Waimea Bay on the North Shore, I'd do it. It's one of the best swims you'll ever have!

Anything around Waikiki is just gorgeous. There's live music and torches in the evening.

The zoo and the aquarium are both super nice for kids:

Sea Life Park is expensive but there is a play area there that kids really like and of course, they love to stand by the tanks and see the fish and sharks. The drive out there is really beautiful too.

Pick up the Oahu Saver book...you can find them everywhere...they have some good deals on Activities! Also download the 'Trip Advisor' site I gave above..

The Best way to get around is Public Transportation...Traffic on Oahu is outrageous...so I would only rent a car for a day or two to get to the other side of the Island..North Shore

  5. Hike Diamond Head.  Go to a Luau at Paradise Cove.  Go to Polynesian Cultural Center.  Go swimming at Waikiki Beach and Ala Moana Beach.  Go shopping at Ala Moana Center.  Walk around Waikiki.  Watch the sunset at Ala Moana Beach (Magic Island) and take pictures there also.  Go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay.  Go hiking at the Light House in Makapuu.  Go surfing at Waimea.  Eat dinner at Tiki's and Todai's (Friday night you can see a small fireworks if you're seated by the window).  Visit Ko'olina Beach and eat at the hotel there.

  6. I love to watch the big turtles at Waikiki beach and also visit the 3 story  aquarium. Take a trolley ride up through diamond head and check out the international market. Also on King street there are always festivals happening. And china town is amazing with the live fish and stuff in the markets.

  7. Honolulu Zoo

    Catamaran ride off Waikiki Beach

    Waikiki Aquarium

    Sea Life Park

    Kapiolani Park

You can walk to all of these places from anywhere in Waikiki...except for Sea Life Park. Have a great time! I live in Hawaii now, but before I moved here 3 years ago I vacationed in the islands with my son when he was 3-4 years old. You'll have a blast!

    Aloha  :)

  8. go to the beach.go and see the luau show.shopping go to waikiki

  9. oooooh. 5 yers olds are the easiest to please. lol
