We're having an italian potluck for a retirement party...need ideas to put on a list so people can sign up?

it works better if we supply a list and then people just pick what they want to bring...

  1. Like any potluck, you want to divide your list into food types.

    Salads, appetizers, vegetable dishes, and soups

    Meat, poultry, or fish dishes (main course)

    Pasta, rice, potatoes (side dishes)

    Desserts

    Bread and rolls

    Beverages

    Dishes, silver, glasses, napkins, etc.

    The potluck being Italian may combine some of the side dishes with some of the main courses--you hardly eat lasagna as a side--but other than that, treat it like any other sigh-up. Encourage people who take on the more expensive or time-consuming dishes not to spend too much.

  4. go to a italian food website and pick out some a bunch of items for the menu that everyone agrees on..... so everyone can pick off the list to prepare and bring
