  1. louisville is beautiful in june. congrats and my suggestion is you should have it near a pool and have a pool party afterwards

  2. Make sure your in a place that is cool...June is a very hot month...With all the clothes people will be wearing..it will make you hotter.....using blocks of ice with fan behind them blowing the cool air towards you and your guess would help....under huge trees that make a large shade will drop temperature down five to ten degrees.....If the humidity is not up.....humidity alone makes you hot.....If humid is low the air is much cooler.......Having it at Sun Rise........the sky is filled with different colors and is quite beautiful........also as Sun Set.....Or under the dark sky filled with stars.....and lights strung up on limbs of trees....Like Small white Christmas lights.....Not a lot...just enough to give you a glow ...What ever you decide to do....test all of your ideals out.....and see how they look.......or how it feels to you.....Anyone can throw a string of lights on a tree limb...any one can do any of these things....Do not wait till next June is on you.......to see which one you want to do.....

  3. Have some areas of shade- you could use trees, put up "sails" or even have pretty umbrellas for the guests to use.

Have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks so everyone can keep hydrated- mineral water, soft drink, juices, sparkling grape juice, etc.

Have areas where people can sit, particularly if it's very hot and you have elderly or pregnant guests. If you don't have enough room for chairs for everyone you could put a few benches, logs or picnic rugs for some people to sit on.

Decorating can be very easy- you could use (or borrow) potted plants, hang fairy lights or laterns.

I went to an outdoor wedding where they had bottles of insect repellent handy for the guests- it came in very handy!

  4. Rent a couple high powered fans.  I had a very casual "picnic style" outdoor wedding in June '05 in Northern Kentucky and it was a great time.  Everyone enjoyed it.  We rented tents for shade and also one or two high powered fans.  The fans were great, and I'd highly recommend them.  We also had cornhole games setup.  For food we just had a grill out (I hired a catering company to do it).  Congrats and have fun!

  5. For me a barbecue. I would keep it simple and casual. Picnics are fine as well.

  6. make sure to provide a cool place for people in case it gets too hot for them, also a tent is a good thing, print your program on fans( you make those cheap)

a picnic is good i think it makes it more family like( depends on how casual or formal)

  7. Congratulations!

I always thought this song would be * perfect * as a wedding march!
