  2. where in chile r u coming -central, northern, southern. if its central, id suggest the beaches and valparaiso and vina del mar. there are some wineries too. if its northern chile then id say san pedro de atacama, which kinda ruins from ancient times. and if its southern id go to torres del paine, trout fishing and seeing the glaciers. dont even think about tierra del fuego as it is BORING!!!!!

  3. It depends where in Chile you wanna go...Chile s a land of contrasts...If you go to the South you ll find a geography similar to New Zealand southern islands...Visit Pucon, Torres del Paine (Simply breathtaking) and the region of lakes near Osorno city....

If you go to the north you must visit San Pedro de Atacama and head for the geysers of el Tatio, or camp under the stars in the valle de la luna (Valley of the Moon)....

Now if you're staying in Santiago you can head for San Cristobal Hill and catch the cable car. You ll have a superb view of the city and the nearby mountains....At night you can head for barrio Suecia at night and enjoy some delicious meals and shows....If you like skiing you can go to Farellones which is 1 hour away from Santiago high in the Andes mountains....From Santiago you can also head to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso one of South America's oldest Ports...

and I really enjoyed traveling south of Santiago - to the Lake District and that part.

We spent a few days on the coast, and did stop at a vineyard, where they sell wines  at a really good price.

Oh -- I loved seeing the volcanoes in Puerto Montt.

I didn't go north of Santiago as there wasn't enough time, but I really hope I can go back  sometime

I found the people really friendly, and loved the food! Lots of fresh seafood if you like it.

Oh  - the subway -- underground train -- is really easy to get around on .

    Have a great trip!

  5. DO not forget to visit a Vineyard! They are amazingly beautiful!
