  1. It depends on several things.

Are you playing against people of a similar size?

Are you playing full contact or touch?

  2. hey,

my rugby career began a few years ago when i played it in gym class. the gym class version does not give the full contact sport a proper image. by this i mean that you have nothing to worry about. there wont be any tackling, being that the coach isnt allowed to have that kind of contact in class. so itll be touch rugby, more than likely. but if you can, and if you like it, look into any local rugby clubs.

its a great sport, and you oughta give it a go.

  3. For your own safety play scrum half no.9!

  4. Your question is "is this ridiculous?" The answer is no, its very common nowadays for p.e. classes to bring in "new" sports to change the curriculum. Rugby is one of the fastest growing( especially college girls) sports in America. They are implementing this into your gym class because in touch or tag rugby size and athletic skill really dont matter. Its all about teamwork and support and how you are able to set up your teammates. It is truly one of the few TEAM sports in which the individual rarely can take over. Boys and girls can play it not problem and you can often find people playing touch at beaches in parks and anytime your bord and want to play something fun and active, unlike football where you can basically just have  two man game.

  5. well.....can i go to your school? i WISH we had played rugby in gym class....no it's not ridiculous. people of ALL sizes, big or small, play rugby as it is needed for different positions. If you're worried about your size, but you're fast, play a wing. If you can handle a little roughness, play hooker or flyhalf. Rugby is a GREAT sport to play, as not only does it require skill and athetisism, but it also teaches teamwork and learning to play, depending not just on your own abilities, but on the abilities of your entire team. Good luck! Have fun with it! And don't worry!! you'll have a great time if you take time to learn the game :)

  6. Get in at scrum half, u will fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. You're in for a rough afternoon!!

  8. Ummmmm........

If I were you, I'd put on about 10 to 15 pounds.

I'm 5'1 and I'm trying to lose weight. My goal is 100-110, so 100 should do you good:)

  9. Saint Helens player si the same height as me, I'm five foot nine inches, and he's not that well built either, but he's one of the best players in the British Rugby League
