  1. http://www.magicjack.com/site/index.html

buy yourself and your family a magicjack

and talk unlimited for 19.99 a YEAR!!!

  2. Look into Skype, You can buy a phone number thats local to Australia and then you can call them all day and they can call you too !

  3. I've tried TalkTalk in the past and will never attempt it again, even though their service is attractive, and when you sign up they say any problems goto the nearest carphone warehouse shop and they'll fix it for you all the people in the shop can do is Call the Callcenter in INDIA... and then it's typical outsourced support that are absolutely useless.

I would steer clear, if you want cheap calls to australia, goto vonage (£6.99/month + free phone adapter) or skype using a skype phone.

  4. Maybe u should try out the Cordia VOIP Magellan plan at http://www.magnumbers.com/ . Cordia VOIP Magellan plan enable callers to dial the Magellan number that they provided to u and reach u on the landline or mobile phone wherever you are in the world with their local rates.

Or u can try out Cordia VOIP other plans at https://www.cordiaip.com/

They are running a promotion right now where u can enjoy the first month free for all Cordia VOIP plans. The promotion code is AGLEEX182X. But if u forgot to enter this code, u will not enjoy the first month free.

Cordia VoIP or broadband phone service can help save customers up to 65 percent of their monthly phone bill. In addition, Cordia offers more than 25 international calling plans along with the ability to choose international phone numbers from more than 300 cities in more than 40 countries.

    Good luck.

  5. Or... use CallCentric softphone (free) on your PC and call Australia landlines for 2.7 cents/min.

Or, better yet, if your friends in Australia have a free Callcentric softphone too, then you can talk to each other on a PC totally and completely free... nothing to buy... period.

But, in reality you could do the same thing with skype, GoogleTalk, Gizmo Project, etc, etc...

But, I think Lisa H. really wants to hear from TalkTalk users about their experience and advice about TalkTalk....

  6. Be very wary of signing up to talk talk, you are likely to be stuck with a contract. If you really want an excellent service with a company that can compete with talk talk, and with a company where you can speak to people in their own customer services dept, then I know of one. Also this company is expanding rapidly and introducing technology that makes it a World Leader, this technology is available in the USA now, is launching into Europe this year and should be available in Australasia soon.

If you would like to know more about it send me an email and I will send you back a web site address where you will find out more about the company. Just for the record I have been using its services for the last 9 years.
