  1. What is your purpose?  Is it your intention to prove the place is haunted or to observe the place and see if any ghosts appear?

  2. If other groups have tried to get permission and it was not granted, I would not bother with it.  You can't force anyone into that position.  Do not tresspass.  That just makes any work that you or your group does look bad.  And who wants a criminal record, have to pay a fine or look bad just for the sake of investigation.

  3. Try talking to the caretaker.  They often know more about a place than anyone else...including who to approach for permission.

  4. You have answered your own question.

  5. For obvious reasons people don't want trespassers of any kind. These myths get started and property starts getting damaged. Not to mention folks getting hurt.By the way, there's no such things as ghosts. As most 10 year old kids know.

  6. If you are paranormal, just glide in through a wall. That's how I get in.

  7. I have not heard of this particular place, but I personally have done quite a few investigations at public places where no one else is able to get in.

The first thing to do is call them up during business hours and ask the receptionist if you can book an appointment with the general manager (or who ever is the ultimate decision maker at the property)

When the receptionist asks what it is in regards to, let her know that you would like to obtain permission for private visitation. You don't need to go into details with her as she is not the decision maker. However, chances are the person who is in control, likely highly values her opinion, so it is definitely in your favour to be extremely polite and professional to her.

When you get your appointment, show up dressed like a real professional - no jeans, running shoes etc. You want to give off the air of someone who is serious about this work and is worthy of being trusted.

Bring a portfolio of other investigations you have done, references, etc. During the meeting outline step by step what you would like to do, and what you will do for them. Will you provide a written report copies of your photos, etc?

    good luck.
