If you are then you need to make sure he has all the paperwork he needs for the interview at your Embassy in his country. He will have to prove beyond a doubt that you both have a genuine, ongoing relationship. Copies of email, chat logs, originals of phone bills, letters you sent each other with envelopes showing postmarks, photographs of you both.

After the interview he will either be told he will get a visa which is usually sent with his passport within a week or so or he will be denied a visa and given a slip of paper with the reason for the denial. That slip is very important if you want to appeal any denial.

If the answer to my first two questions was NO and NO the answer I have given above is useless.
