  1. would just the chlorine from 1 cup of wate rkill 3 fish? wow must be alot more chlorine then i thought

  2. did you declorinate the water?  this can be done by chemical or letting the water sit in a jug for 72 hours.

  3. No fish can live happily and healthy lives in a bowl. Fish need to be acclimated into their new home. Fish need an established tank, putting them through a cycle causes much pain and stress on them. Different fish have different requirements; temp., pH, tankmates, etc. DO RESEARCH ON THE TYPE OF FISH YOU HAVE, LOTS OF RESEARCH.

  4. just 1 cup?  Something else was wrong then, I don't add dechlor unless I am adding over a gallon. (I have never lost a fish) Perhaps the tank wasn't cycled, or there was disease, or did they suffocate?  Or was it a little tank, my smallest tank is 30 gallons.

  5. Did you add this water due to evaporation? If so then all you did was add some clean water to dirty water and the ammonia, nitite, and nitrate just builds up when the water evaporates.

You need to do a 15-25% water change every week and add dechlorinated water to the tank.

  6. to me fish are very delicate creatures...once I switched the environment of 3 fish living together and found them all dead the next morning.

I dunno, maybe they died because they weren't used to the type of water you put in their bowl. ( or I may be wrong)

i'm really sorry fo that, though :o
