  1. Are you kidding the eagles got nothing at wide receiver!  The Patriots and the Colts have the best but the Cowboys are pretty good at wide receiver.

  2. As a fan of your team, it common to be delusional.

  3. Drew Brees makes the Saints receivers extraordinary. 7th round draft pick = NFL's leading receiver. Come on now. Marques Colston is a beast. Robert Meachem is looking every bit like the first-round draft choice he was two years ago. Very good veteran leadership in David Patten.

Drew Brees is a better QB than either Brady, Romo, or Manning. He's a lock for the MVP this year. Consequently, the Saints WR corps will dominate.

  4. We all know the Eagles have NO receivers!!!

  5. "IF" that is true then that doesn't say much about your quarterback does it . By the way the Packers are loaded at reciever and let go of their old quarterback . Maybe the Eagles should do the same .

  6. And what Eagles would that be? Not the Philadelphia Eagles huh? Yet another message from a delusional fan.  If you don't count L.J. Smith (cause he's a tight end), they have one #2 receiver masquerading as a #1 receiver (Kevin Curtis), and a glut of #3 and #4 receivers (DeSean Jackson, Reggie Brown, Hank Baskett, etc.)  When you talk about best receivers, Green Bay is deep as a group, New England has a ton of depth, and Cincinnati (Welcome back Chris "Penitentary" Henry) is deep too, but there is no better group than Indy's Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne

  7. The EAGLES? Quit bogarting the smoke, and pass it around. I would have to say, even though they are not even close to being a team I can stand, the Cincinati Bengals have the best receivers in football as a group. Too bad their QB cant win anything above th college level.

  8. You have got to be kidding me. The Patriots, Colts, Cowboys or Browns have the best WR's in the game today. You've got to have a good QB to make your receivers look good and the Eagles don't really have a good QB. McNabb is on the decline and has been for a couple of years now. They drafted Kevin Kolb because McNabb is injury prone and losing a step.

  9. That strange philly water you've been drinking is going to your head.  The best reciever combo is Fitzgerald/Bolden and second is 85/Housch.

  10. If by "best" you mean underachieving, marginally-talented, stone-handed, fragile losers then, yes, Philly's wideouts are the best. DeSean Jackson could change that a little, though.

As for best receiving corps I think Green Bay is tops though breaking in a new QB this year may not make it apparent. Arizona and Detroit are also very good but losing Martz could affect the Motown air attack. The Jets have a couple of good wide receivers though Favre will blame them when he throws an incompletion or interception. And there's a team in the upper-right part of the country that has some pretty good receivers. I think their QB is named Bradley or something like that.

  11. I'm not sure I would agree with you on the statement that the Eagles have the best receivers.  If they did, you'd think they'd be winning a little more.  I'd say the Colts and the Patriots are right up there near the top.  The Colts have Marvin Harrison back.  They also have Reggie Wayne which I think is probably better now than Marvin.  Then the Colts added Anthony Gonzalez to the mix.  Then you have Dallas Clark as a great middle field and short pass threat.  And then I think Indy also has an up and comer in Devin Aromashodu from Auburn.  I watched him fill in as a back-up when a lot of the Colts were out on injury.  He has a lot of talent and potential.  Not to mention you have Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes that can act as good running backs or receivers.  That gives Manning a wide array of passing threat to put against any team.

Brady has always had a very good receiving squad also.  Always about as good or maybe even better than Indy.  Although for the last past several years until he got Ross and Welker he always complained that he wanted a receiving group as good as Indy's.  He never mentioned the Eagles.  And with the addition of Randy Moss, Wes Welker and a few others, they have a very tough receiving group.

After the Colts and Patriots, I'd start looking at teams like Cincinnati with Chad Johnson and Cleveland.  Look at the high offensive numbers those two teams have put up in passing over the last few years.  It shows that they have pretty descent receivers also.  They just have weaknesses in other spots that are keeping them from reaching the top.

Statistically McNabb is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL when he isn't hurt.  But he is hurt so often that the Eagles hardly ever get to use him for over half a season.

As you can tell, I'm an Indy fan.  But I have to give Indy one good credit.  They still put up the 2nd most points offensively last season and that was even with about half of their starters out injured.  That's pretty impressive to do with mainly back-ups.

  12. I'd say the Colts or the Bengals. I wasn't aware that the Eagles had the best recievers.

  13. I like the Eagles, but seriously the best receivers? I don't think so.  Being a Colts fan, I will say the Colts are the best.  I won't even mention the Patriots, because, as a Colts fan, I can't stand them.

  14. When they are all healthy - I think the Bengals have a strong starting receiver core. (Ocho Cinco, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Chris Henry).

For the Eagles, I don't think we have the best receivers, we do have a lot of depth at the position, but they are all mediocre in my opinion. I was looking at stats last night on Comcast Sports and our top receiver in 2006 was Todd Pinkston with only a little over 600+ yards on the season.

I heard rumor last night that they might send Anquan Boldin our way, and I don't even want to get my hopes up, but I hope Reid comes through. I just hope we don't get Joe "past-his-prime" Horn.

  15. In my opinion it would have to be the Texans. But the Green Bay Packers are probably by far better.  Seriously, look up "nflstats.com" to get the true answers you are seeking.

  16. r u serious the eagles wide recievers suck.

  17. I do not think they are the best. AT ALL

They have a bunch of number 3's. And no legitimate number 1

They might not even be in the top 10

    1. Cardinals

    2. Indianapolis

    3. New England (the top three teams here are really close)

    4. Cincinati (they even got Chris henry back)

    5. Dallas

    6. Detroit

    7. Pittsburgh

    8. NY football Giants

    9. Greenbay

    10. Browns

  18. Hmmm, you mean the best receivers at what? The offseason egg-toss?

  19. dude, i couldn't name an eagles receiver without looking it up.  do they still have freddie mitchell?
