We are 12, visiting (23.09) trivndrm, Knykumari, Rmeshwram, Madurai, Chennai (29.09) where to stay how to see?

We are visiting south India first time. 11 members + 1yr child. I am worring about stay at Trivendram, Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Madurai, chennai. How we can move around safly. How I can plan the visit so that it my be rememberable tour. Otherwise nobody will accompny me next time. Please help me

I know of a group which recently did a trip similar to yours. They came to Chennai via train, checked into a budget guest house. They hired a qualis (you may need a bigger vehicle) and took it to all these places including Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Madurai and Pondicherry and few more. Having a vehicle will be much faster and you can do things at your own pace. I don't suggest roaming around using local transportation specially because you are a group of 12 people. You did not furnish much of your tour details, where from you are proceeding.

If you plan your journey through train & circular journey tickets, you can plan your trip wel, and most of the places can stay at Railway accomodation on payment.

1. In Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Madurai, you can stay at TTDC   Hotels (Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation =TTDC), its all run by Govt of TamilNadu, where you can get good food & rooms, charges are moderate.

2. In Chennai 'Hotal Uduphi Sudha" Ponnamallee High Road, which is one the best budjet hotal and 10 mints drive from Railway station.(Central Station, *& Egmore Station.)

3. In Trivandram there are many hotels suitable for budget, you go through  any web site and fix.
