  1. Yes you can do this. You must contact an employee benefits broker and set it up through them directly. You may also each buy individual health insurance plans bu twill have to qualify medically perhaps.


  2. Most states have mandatory minimums on employer contributions for group insurance.  You should check with your state's department of insurance.

  3. You are talking about  what is called a I.R.S. Section 125 Cafeteria plan. This plan allowed by the I.R.S. allows employees to pick and choose their benefits and have the premiums taken out before your wages are taxed. Employees benefit by having less taxable income and the employer has less payroll tax.
