Can anyone let us know what kind of visa we would need for this or what we need to do. So far I cant find anything for just UK residents wanting to get married in th USA just either one or the other. If anyone has any information I would be really grateful, even a web ink...anything.. I'm pulling my hair out here!!! Thanks.

  1. If you are eligible for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), no visa is necessary.  Otherwise, a B1/B2 visa will suffice.

Marriage license requirements for US citizens and non US citizens are the same - have identification and pay the fee (all documents presented must be translated into English).  As long as you are legally free to marry (i.e., adult and single), you may do so.  There are church ceremonies and civil ceremonies - look to UK regulations, not US regulations, to be certain that the ceremony you plan will be recognized as legal in the UK.
