We are building a deck and I want to have removeable spindles/removable balusters in the rails.?

I know they exist, I've seen them. The spindles can be removed so you can stain the top/bottom rails then snap them back. Anyone know a source or a brand that has these. I think they are aluminum but look like steel or iron.

  2. With all due respect, I have to ask, WHY framing that has to be stained, then add metal balusters? That isn't as confusing as WHY not stain/finish the WOOD frame work first?

       Beyond that I'd be curious as to how they attach, code issues regarding rails depending on height off ground level that railings are dictated.

       Then there is the issue, if railing is required, about why you want to mix species anyway? Why not frame it in the same material, wood or metal?
