  1. you don't have to move you have a contract! They may still own the house but get it refinanced today if you can prove you paid on time and your credit is descent then you can do this. Get with a loan officer in your area and get started. They are in breach of contract

I am a mortgage banker in TN & KY

  2. There are two ways this would be answered.

1 It depends on your contract.

2 It depends on state law.

Since the answer must not be clear from reading the contract then you better hire a good real estate lawyer to help you answer this.

  3. They could buy you out of your contract with cash.  If you are current in your payments, you own the property and can not be moved out.

  4. Are you in Ohio? Was the land contract recorded? If it wasn't, then it is not a legal land contract and you may have equitable interest. If it was properly executed, you can take it to the court house and have it recorded. Then they would have to file for foreclosure to force you out, but they would lose if you have made all of the payments according to the land contract.

You may need to get an attorney if you don't want to leave and give up your interest in the property.

If you need help to buy out the land contract, a lender may be able to help you with that.
