We are doing Model United Nations at my school. Which country should I pick to represent?

Typically you do not get to make that choice.

Your school gets to represent a nation based on how good a job your school team did last year.  If your school has never done it before, you get some 2 bit country in Africa to represent.  If your school does a really great job of it, then next year you get to represent some nation that is a semi-rising super star like say India, or has serious problems like say Russia.

I would pick one of the newest UN member states so that there is lots of current information.

2 choices:

India:  Because they have the 2cd fastest growing economy in the world, next to China.  

Brazil:  Because they are slowly becoming a world power and is one of the only countries in the world that is not soley dependent on foreign oil.

Germany.  They are a neighbor of Russia.....but lots of bad blood....Don't trust Iran as far as you can throw them, have to be part of the EU but not really play by all the rules like the rest have to.
