How much cash should we take. What is the reccommended amount for emergency evacuations.

take as much as you can. even take the things you know you will need. if you have insurance on the house then most of your stuff should be covered. but take the things that you think are most valuable to you.

Well, you need to take things that are important to you. I'd recommend any photo albums and those sort of sentimental things. Beyond that, you'll want to take any important documents you may have. The cash is your discretion, but I'd recommend taking enough to buy supplies without any problems. Also take an ATM card and a credit card for fuel and what not. I'd take some blankets and pillows along with some food and water, since you'll be in traffic for a while. Be careful.
