It's an ok name.  I don't really like how you spelled the first name...and Shayn just sounds like a name for a boy.  I would just spell the name a little different and pick another name.

Mackayla is masculine, as are all Mac names. Mac means SON OF.

Shane is a boy's name.

Save this for when you have a son, and try again.

I prefer 'Kayla Shane', it sounds more feminine or at least spelling the name 'Michaela Shayne.'   Changing the spelling/name removes the probablilty of people mispelling her name/thinking she is a boy/thinking that you tried to hard for something unique by randomly adding letters where there normally arent.

I can't stand the name Makayla , make just plain Kayla ;) Shayn is awesome. Use that as the first name.

Just remember that whatever you name a child -you may love the name but the child has to live with it for life.
