Question:

We are fixing up an old mobile home - need ideas

The biggest problem so far is that there are many places where the paneling has been broken, like it was kicked or bashed in when moving furniture. For at least some of these, I'd like to "hide" the damage rather than fuss over it. One idea would be to hang a mirror over the. hole. Does anybody have any other good ideas?

  1. leaving the hole will cause a heat loss in winter in excess ,and a loss of air conditioning in summer. It also provides an entry way for uninvited little guests to nest.a mobile home is a tin can with dress up interiors. If it is just a summer two week retreat ok, just cover and spray before occupancy, but if this is to be home, take the extra care and finish it. If you are going to rent it out or sell it, Shame shame.

  2. If it's against an outer wall, it would be best to replace it.  If it's an inner wall, a mirror, picture, bookcase or whatever should work to cover it up, even a decorative rug or something hung on the wall.

  3. I would replace the paneling with dry wall.
