  1. Yes. While your home is being painted, your rat (and any other pets) should stay with a friend/neighbor/relative until it's done.


  2. I'm not quite sure, but it might be better if you moved him because maybe the toxic smell from the paint could be dangerous for him.

  5. OH yes! He could very possibly die if you keep him inside.  

  6. Yes, like everyone else is saying, the fumes from any paint can be harmful or deadly. Best to have a friend watch him or move him outside in his cage.  

  7. yes, he could die because he is so small that it doesn't take very much of the paint fumes to kill him.  

  8. Harsh fumes can harm a rat, especially since they are prone to respitory infection. Move them and get a fan, don't get them too cold! Just circulate the air and keep them away from harsh fumes :)
