We are going on a Carnival cruise leaving from New York to San Juan...?

does anyone know if we are going to pass the statue of liberty on the ship? I've never been to New York and have to see the statue since we're gonna be there!!! Thanx

  2. Yes you will and it is great to see the Statue from the water!

    I cruised from NY on Carnival and I think the ship actually slows down so all can get a great view.

    If your leaving from Brooklyn, you may not.

  4. Yes, the Statue of Liberty will be on the right (starboard) side of the ship as you leave New York.  I researched this myself before booking a cruise on Carnival (this August).

Hi!  I took a Princess cruise that left from New York and also went to San Juan as the first stop.  Yes, you do pass the Statue of Liberty and can take pictures.  I would recommend getting a good spot on the deck to take pictures as you go by, because everyone has the same idea.  The cruise that I went on went to San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk.  It was awesome!!  I hope you have a great time.  Take lots of pictures.
