It is my Boyfriends Birthday.

We are going with Royal Caribbean. They offer room decorations. Has any one seen them. Are they too cheesy? or are they cute.

Any Other Suggestions one might have to make his birthday special?

  1. I decorated my cabin door with a birthday sign that I bought at the local party store on my last cruise. The one I bought was more like a  plastic lawn sign it was on a stake I simply removed the stake and used regular scotch tape and the door sign stayed up the whole week.... I had also decorated one of the other cruiser door but I did hers with individual letters and some jerk keep pulling letters off and sticking them elsewhere... It was strange that they didn't mess with mine and we were right next door.. it will also help you to spot your cabin quickly... Have a great cruise...

  2. I think that they are tacky, and expensive.  We have gone on cruises for our anniversary, and the only thing we do is tell our servers in the dining room, and they make their little bit of a fuss about it.  We just try to keep it low key, and enjoy the trip.

  3. Saw them on NCL...not worth the money. Spring for dinner in one of the specialty restaurants instead.

  4. We've cruised Royal Caribbean seven times and although we have never ordered decorations, we have seen them.  They don't go ALL OUT, but I think they are cute.  They usually have a decoraton on the cabin door, and once when one of the cabin doors was open I saw streamers in the room.  Also, let your waiter know that it is your boyfriends birthday and they will of course bring him cake with a candle and sing.  The cruise directors are pretty friendly, so if you get a chance, ask him/her to announce it at one of the nightly shows.

  5. Skip the room decorations and go for an extra special bottle of wine with dinner.

  6. most of the extra decoration for occasions are on the silly side but fun, if that is what you want.

In the end the trip it self is a better gift. on my last Cruise I had dinner with 2 quest that went together and both had birthday, they did all they could to hide it.

my first cruise was for our 15th anniversary and we only told our server, however the cake was extra and not nearly as interesting as the other desserts

  7. I have seen Carnival's room decorations. They are pretty cheesy, but it is a nice surprise to see when you walk into your room for the first time. they hang stuff from the ceiling like a banner and streamers and stuff.

  8. Contact Royal Caribbean and pay for a wine and cheese basket to be in the room upon your arrival - this is something both you and your boyfriend can enjoy.  Then pay for a special excursion to go on and take him out to a fun restaurant.

  9. it does not matter what the room looks like because you will be on a cruise liner and the only time you will spend in the room will be to sleep , but it is your choice on on the cheesiness of the rooms or check them out at
