We are going to Australia and want to know if it is the go to rent a minibus in Sydney to get around?

Travelling with family - on a medium budget - want to see Olympic Site and other Sydney sites. There are 7 of us all together. We want to drive to Canberra and the Blue Mountains as well. We will be there for 14 days in total.

you'll probably find  hiring a bus more expensive than just using public transport, you can get to all the places you want to see by train and bus, though Canberra is pretty boring, not much to see other than a bunch of politicians! and since you are in Sydney only 14 days i suggest you use that time travelling around the city, the zoo, Bondi, manly, Darling Harbour etc.

Only alternative is to hire two (maybe three) cars. With petrol prices the way they are probably makes sense to hire a minibus and travel together. Doing organised tours of all those places would cost a lot.
