stay at the Best Western Posada and take a taxi or bus to Cabo every night? How much would that be anyway? or should we stick with our original plan and stay at the riu, we would probably still have to take a taxi every night?

  1. Hola.  Well quite seriously the two resorts you have picked are pretty close to each other, and you are right about taking a taxi back after a night of partying or a long day at the beach, so I'm going to say just go for either one.  Taxis will probably be about $10-20 each way (the drivers really set their own fee - be upfront and ask/settle a fee before you get in).  Buses are less than a dollar.

  2. So long as your feet don't complain too much, it's about a 15 minute walk from the Riu to the center of town. It's a straight shot and the terrain (street) is flat. The Riu is a much better plan than the Best Western. San Jose del cabo is great, but it's a little on the sleepy side. Cabo San Lucas can be as sleepy or fun-filled as you want. If you take a cab to and from the resort, expect to pay from $7 to $15 each way. The cab ride from the Best Western would be a LOT more expensive. Check my source for more info. Enjoy Cabo. I'll be heading back in March.
