  1. Freiburg is a beautiful town! There are a couple of nice restaurants called "Straussen" which are a must! Definitely! My favourite is the "Kellerstrausse im Kaltenbachhof" in Schallstadt near Freiburg. You should get there quite early if you don't want to wait for a table.

You should also plan a trip into the Schwarzwald- the Black Forest. However, most places there are usually full of toursist, but charming anyway. Go on a boat trip in Titisee.

And the Europa Park is always great fun!

  2. Plan a day at Europa Park, at Rust. It's somewhat like Dizney Land, only on a smaller scale, and well worth the price.  Enjoy, and have a goog holiday.

  3. stay away from the concentration camps, too.

  4. I can tell what not to do, stay away from the red light district.

  5. Definitely see the Roman stuff in Trier. The Black Gate (Porta Nigra) is very impressive. It's so different from the stuff around it, that it's almost like aliens dropped it there. Whatever you do, don't see Trier in a rush or you'll definitely regret it.

  6. I am living near trier right now amd we just went there a week ago.  Don't go on sunday, all the shops are closed.  There is the porta nigra, roman bathhouses, colesium.  Lots of neat stuff.  You HAVE to see the DOM, it's a cathedral in Trier.  whether you are catholic or not it is a beautiful place.  There is this strange piece of lava rock out front that no one knows where it came from.
