We already have paid for the rental car and b&bs. So we are going to have to eat 2 meals a day for 2 people and gas. We are not much on buying trinket stuff. So realistic would should a meal at a pub without drinks for lunch and a pub with drinks for dinner cost us. We also are figuring about 30 dollars a day for gas,is that enough?

  1. Loads

  2. Be gnerous it not that cheap.Great country though.

  3. Maybe even Over €1000.

    Ireland is very expensive.

    = )

  4. it really depends on how much you drive! 30 dollars is just under 20euro.  I drive a 1.3 litre car and put 20euro petrol in my car today and the tank was only a quarter full! petrol costs about E1.09 per litre here in Waterford IS more expensive in other parts of Ireland!

id say if you budget for 20euro a day petrol you will be fine as I'm sure you will drive more some days than others!

if your not buying all those (useless) souvenirs you will be fine, you will just be buying food and petrol.  So id say bring €1000 for the 10 days - just to be safe, that will be plenty!

oh and have a great holiday!

  5. 30 dollars is about 20 euro, it wouldnt get you that far. if you are planning to drive an awful lot (4 hours straight) you are looking at 30 euro a day on petrol.

a basic meal for one person  without a drink in a local pub is about 12 euro and drinks are 2.50
