  1. we stayed  at the Hotel Forty Seven in Rome.  It is decorated modernly, clean, comfortable and has great rates!  Like most hotels in Europe the rooms are small compared to american hotels but it is pretty roomy for a european hotel.  Free breakfasts in the morning and not  far away from the major attractions!  and the best part is it is so close to Trastevere, neighborhood for the best tasting and best priced food in Rome.  This is where all the locals go to eat out!  i highly recommend!

hope you have a great time!  we can't wait to return!

  2. Marcella Royal Hotel

The staff is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the hotel!!!

  3. The Hilton Cavalieri is simply the best hotel in Rome.  If you have the money (a double occupency is $800 U.S per night!) I definitly suggest it.  It has it's own park and sits atop a hill overlooking all of rome. Visible from your window is the coloseum, Vatican city, and many other sights.  It is a 5 star hotel and 5 star service is what I got. It is still the best hotel I've ever stayed in! Have fun in Rome!

  4. Rose Garden Palace Hotel is very nice but not as expensive as some of the more trendy hotels.  Because it is relatively new, the bathrooms are not those dinky and ill equipped ones you find in a lot of European hotels.  And its quiet because its not on a very busy street.  Its behind the US consulate.

    From the website:

"In Via Boncompagni, in a building dating back to the 1900’s, in the most exclusive area of Via Veneto, a new and supremely elegant hotel has opened its doors, a hotel which takes its name from the Rose Garden in its grounds.

The gardens of Villa Borghese, the Spanish Steps, the stylish shops of Via Condotti, the fashionable bars of Via Veneto, the fountains of Tritone and Mosè, the baroque churches, the masterpieces on display in the Galleria Borghese – all are within easy walking distance."
