i'm going to go against the flow and say coogee.

There are heaps of nice places to eat, and its a little less hectic than Bondi (which is always super busy).  However, it will be quite cold by August!

If you want to relax DON'T go to Bondi the waves are really big and it is always really crowded. The beach at Dee why is really nice and has got good eateries there too, I reccomend the fish and chip shop there also it's not too crowded. But just drive down the coast and you'll find a nice one, there are so many and it's a really nice drive anyway. I hope you enjoy your time in Sydney!

Manly is a nice destination though, catch the ferry there and back...

BONDI but its packed if u want 2 relax bronte is good coz u can still surf but its more empty, u can also go 2 maroubarah, coogee or clovelly {clovelly if u want 2 snorkle or look at scenery} u could take the bondi walk and c all the beaches..... but it depends what u want 2 go 2.....

but i went in august and ur actually visiting the winter

cuz i went in that month and its freezing!!

the beach is beautiful but the sand is really cold and the water is just unbelievably cold!!

but ultimately sydney is amazing and ul love the opera house

do the sky walk its the really tall golden tower

u wont miss it

eat at the hardrock cafe

visit the sydney mall(fashion there is soo cute)

have fun!! sydney kind of reminds u of New York! its really nice
