Does anyone have any suggestions for an outdoor location shoot in or around San Antonio?

  1. Please diregard the BITTER comment above as I believe he's ranting in the wrong section.  I believe the Alamo is about the most recongized Texas monument in the US so be sure to snap pictures outside as last time I went no pics are allowed to be taken inside.  Also take some time to check out the famous riverwalk take a small boat and see all the nice shops and restaurants along the way.

  2. Make sure you get a shot next to a lazy Mexican, nothing says "Texas" like a dirty immigrant taking a job from an American and doing a half *** job for a quarter of the pay.

  3. I would suggest the Alamo too.  You can take photos outside it if you would like, but you cannot take it inside because it is a mission or church.

There's also a lot of other misions around town that might have more space to take a "landscape" like photo.  Especially Mission San Jose with the rose window.  Even though I'm a native Texan and shouldn't say this, Mission San Jose is really a bit prettier than the Alamo.  But of course the Alamo is more reconizable as a Texas landscape.

And yes, please disregard Joe B's comment. That's not a very friendly Texas thing to say.  Let's hope he's just visiting.

    Good luck!

  4. I don't think you can beat the Alamo for something Texasy in San Antonio.
