buy the extended warranty from wal-mart, or do we need it with the warranty that the tv already has on it?

According to Consumer Reports, most extended warranties are not worth the money. However, they did list several exceptions to this rule and one of them was plasma (or other new technology) flat panel TVs. If this is just a normal large screen TV, you should probably skip buying the extended warranty.

i wouldn't  the cost is not worth the it since you should not have any problems!!!
