That would be peak hurricane season.  Doesn't mean there will be one, but if you wanted to be there when they have a hurricane that would be a good time to show up.

It's iffy- it can be hot, but you can check the weather statistics on this site. You may hit some rain, hopefully not a hurricane, there's a small chance of that. You can get some REALLY good deals on accomodations, though, since it's their very low season.

your best bet is don't go.Or if you do go make sure that the place your staying in is not in the path of a hurrican watch the weather,its not good

Yes, it's a fine time to go. Don't let everyone scare you about hurricanes. Until 2005 Hurricane Wilma...Cancún hadn't been majorly affected by a hurricane that size in 20 yrs. Cancún is in a tropical climate and with the warm waters of the Caribbean and the high levels of humidity there are always a chance for sun showers. When it does rain it only rains for around 20 mins. at most and usually the sun is out when it rains (sun showers they are called). But, generally it doesn't rain that frequent.  As long as no tropical storms or hurricanes are headed that way it will be beautiful and warm. You will be okay.
