  1. plenty!!!

    get the dining plan tho

  2. It just really depends on what kind of activities you are wanting to do, and what EXACTLY you need this money to do!

Also what kind of fun is your family used to?  What attractions do you want to visit?   How many days do you want to visit them?  What kind of food do you normally eat?  Where you are staying does it have a kitchen?  As far as the attractions go you can save some money by getting your tickets at Orlando Fun Tickets http://www.orlandofuntickets.com/  they also sell a KIDS EAT FREE Card that you can use at select Orlando Restaurants http://www.orlandofuntickets.com/Kids-Ea...

I am sure there is a way you can have any sort of vacation for 7200.00 but is it the one you are envisioning?

I do not know there are too many unknown variables!

    But you will have fun!

Feel free to post again with more info!

  3. That should be plenty of money.  The theme parks have a high entry price. Check their websites if you haven't already.  But once you're in, you can go on all the rides at no extra charge.  Lines are typically quite long for the most popular rides.  There are better restaurants at Epcot and Downtown Disney, as well as Universal Studios, but the food in the fairgrounds is above average in quality and choice.  If you're staying in a place with a kitchen in the room, it's worth doing a trip to the grocery store and having breakfast in your flat.

You'll see a lot of "discount tickets" signs along the roads, but my advice is to ignore them.  It's not worth the time for the small discounts, and most of them are a come-on for time-sharing condominiums.  Just say no!

Be sure to get out of Orlando and head East to Daytona or Cocoa Beach.  Both are easy daytrips, and a beach day is more my idea of fun than trudging through endless parks.  Cheaper and more relaxing.

    Have fun!

  4. People are always asking about budgets in Answers and it kind of cracks me up cause budgets are so subjective.  The question you really want answered is "Is $7,200 enough to meet the expectation of me and my family?"  Without knowing what those expectations are its difficult to give you an honest answer.  I've done Orlando on a poverty budget and I've done it in class.  If you are just looking for rides and food it should be enough - within reason.  Most of the rides will be located at theme parks and the rides are included in the cost of the ticket.  If you are going to be doing this kind of thing for multiple days, you'll want to get multi-day ticket and possible with park hopper options.  The more days you get the bigger the "per day" discount will be.  There are so many things that you could do or options that you could take advantage of - and all of it will effect the cost of your trip.  If you eat steak and lobster everynight it will probably eat up half your budget vs eating at a buffet or fast food.

You can very comfortably do 2 weeks in Orlando on this amount of money - but you'll have to watch your spending a little bit.  Six people can go through a lot of cash quickly on vacation and Orlando is infamous for sending people home with very little left.

    Have a great trip!

  5. If its just for the parks and and food, you should be ok. Depending on the Disney ticket you buy, you could be paying up to $300 for the tickets I would suggest you go to the disney website to check the price of the tickets and what would best suit you and your family.

  6. If you're going to spend more than a day at Disney theme parks then you need to purchase the Disney Dining Plan.  This will provide great savings.  Research this on line as I don't remember if you have to buy it in advance or not.

Figure an average cost of $60.00US for each person per day to get into a theme park.  You can buy multi-park/multi-day tickets to save some money.

If you're staying on or near International Drive you'll want to purchase Trolley tickets rather than do a lot of driving yourself.  Gas is about $3.60US right now in Orlando.

It would be helpful to know if you are staying on Disney property, International Drive or elsewhere.  Also, are you renting a car?  Does your hotel expense and car rental expense need to come out of the 7,200?
