  1. take the cruise it is well worth it,trust me.

  2. Yes, 2 days 1 night cruise on board in Halong is great! the cost you said is including the transfer from/to Hanoi? It is full board from the lunch of first day to second day lunch? It seems to me that is the seat in coach package. If you need the private tour, have to contact the Travel Agency but not at the hotel desks as they don't organize the private tour.

  3. Take 2 days cruise around Halong Bay - you won't regret :)

I paid US$ 45 including transfer, boats, kano, meals, hotels.

When you're there ask the local tour - or ask the front desk at the hotel you stay.

  4. i would suggest the overnight cruise.  i went to vietnam last year and i chose to do the day trip only.  it was quite exhausting and not really worth it to me.  i had a group of other friends that were in vietnam the week before me and opted to do the overnight trip and had an absolute blast.

we booked our trip with our guest house when we arrived...it was great service and not very expensive.

  5. Thats an average price for the Halong bay tour. It is definitely worth it. Halong is great

Considering it is accommodation for 1 night, transfers, guide, a couple of meals, the boat hire etc it's quite cheap really!

There are no doubt cheaper tours, but you get what you pay for!

    Enjoy Vietnam

  6. Actually i really enjoyed Northern Vietnam (hanoi, halong). Its different from southern vietnam(saigon).  its more clean and cooler. I really like Halong, we went on a cruise throught natual caves and it was really awesome. One thing my family and i noticed was that food was really plain tasting. We seem to add soysause and stuff to everything we ate. I think the only food i liked there was the vegetarian food when our tour went to visit temples. I hope you like it! i visit my family in saigon every year.

Oh yeah heres some advice my family and I noticed too:

the people in Northern Vietnam try to get more money out of you by acting very polite and friendly (major sucking up)
