  1. if you are in the US currently, it would be a domestic flight, not subject to customs or immigration checks

if you are entering via an international flight, documentation required would be the same as the mainland US

a visa application is provided by the country in which you wish to visit.  They would issue the visa - NOT the country you are leaving (living within)

  2. You don't say where you are coming from, however here is a link that can help answer your question.

Select the US Virgin Islands as your destination and enter your citizenship country and it will inform you if a visa is needed

The USVI are very beautiful, enjoy your stay)

  3. If you are not a U.S citizen, you'll need an international visa to travel out of your own country, no matter what country you are going to. The country you are traveling OUT OF, not INTO, issues your travel visa.
