We are hearing a lot about CIA Spying on Citizens everywhere, how exactly is that done? Capable detectives?

Have you gone to the park or restaurant and heard people yakking on the cellphone about anything.........do you think the CIA has time to go thru every cell phone call about who is breaking up with,... or why they need the 16oz can of soup vs the 17.9 oz can of soup at the supermarket?

Umm.. first off, where did you hear about this, & have you reported it to the police???  ................  I didn't think so.

FYI, spying is not done on American citizens w/o first being vetted through a complex string of approval authorities.  You say BS?  Well I say it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.  The 4th Ammendment prevents the CIA, NSA, NRO, whomever from spying on American citizens, because that could be considered a case of UNREASONABLE SEARCH & SEIZURE.  Strickly forbidden in the Bill of Rights.  Additionally, that founding belief is further strenthend by Executive Order (E.O. 12333) & the subsequent agency policies.  

Now, I am not saying it doesn't happen.  It can if there is justification via probable cause, but it's EXTREMELY rare.

Also, just for the record, don't you think the CIA has more important things to do?  Why would they waste their time when it could be passed of to the FBI who is specifically chartered to conduct criminal investigations on American soil?

By law the CIA cannot operate in the United States. The National Security Agency is doing the wire taps. The FBI with a subpoena can investigate a possible criminal act. The only spying done on American citizens is done by Private Detectives usually working divorce cases.
