  1. Yes, they will be fine as long as you provide them with a clean litterbox, plenty of food and water, and an area where they won't get into anything they shouldn't (chemicals, small, swallable things, etc)

  2. Yes,

they will sleep most of that time anyway.

Put out enough water and food and have fun.

They will be really lovie when you get back.

I leave mine for up to 4 days on their own... more than that I get someone to come in and take care of them

Having someone come in there is always a chance they will let them out or something like that.

    good luck

  3. just have someone come in sometime saturday afternoon to check on them and make sure they have food and water and the litter box is clean and to spend some quality play time with them.

  4. I absolutely agree with the vet tech who said the should be limited to one room so they will not get into too much mischief. Make sure you don't leave out anything breakable.

Kittens at this stage are at their most curious - I've been there, and pulled them off the curtains, etc.

Definitely have someone come in once or twice while you're gone to check up on them, and leave out emergency phone numbers ... yours, and the after-hours vet's. Figure out how much you are willing to pay in case one of them does need veterinary care. Which is unlikely at that age, but doesn't hurt to plan for.

  5. I think your kittens will be ok for a day.  If you do leave your kittens alone make sure you put out enough food and water and the litter is clean when you leave. Also kittens are very playful so you might want to "kitten proof" your house.  Make sure that breakables aren't going to break and if they climb the curtains you won't be heart broken!

If you are still bothered by the fact, have someone come over on satuday morning and make sure everything is all right.

When you get home check your whole house to make sure everything is the way you left it!

    Hope this helped

  6. Yes they will be just fine.

  7. When it comes to our beloved pets, I think it's wisest to err on the side of caution.  I agree with those who've said they're too young to be left alone for that length of time.  Please have a friend come by once on Friday and once on Saturday to check on them, give them a few pets and behind-the-ear scratches, and make sure all is well.

Also, a warning to ALL pet owners to NEVER, EVER use flea and tick treatments made by Hartz, Sergeant’s, Sentry, Farnam, Adam’s, Bio Spot, Scratchex, Flys-Off, Zodiac, or Vet Kem. These brands are responsible for poisoning thousands and thousands of cats and dogs. Only use a treatment that your vet explicitly recommends!

  8. I dont see why not. we let for 3 nights and our lil guys were contained into the bathroom with plenty of food and water, and they were fine. we came home and they acted like they were in there only 10 min.

My kitties are no more then 4.5 months and 6 months. they were perfect.

  9. I agree someone should check on them.  They may spill their water bowl, for example. Cats can get into all sorts of trouble!

  10. 9 and 12wks is way too young to leave them alone for a day and a half.  They are like human toddlers right now.  This is the most accident prone stage for them.

I am not saying you can not leave.   I just think you need to be responsible and find a sitter such as a friend, relative or neighbor to come to your house morning noon and night to check on them.

I would also confine them to a small room to cut down to the chances of a problem and make it easier for whoever checks on them.

Then that being done - Go and have a blast - hopefully it is something nice you are going to do.  :)

EDIT:  CC - ABSOLUTELY dead on - I can not believe I forgot the importance of the emergency phone contacts as well as the Vet numbers, directions etc...  AND the Money part was too true!!  I can not tell you how many lives that saved when it counted most while I have worked over the years at the Emergency Vet Hospital.

    Nice Save!!!!  Thank You :)
