We are looking for a weimaraner breeder.?

My husband and I have been searching for a weimaraner breeder but are having difficulty finding one around Oklahoma, we are willing to drive up to two states away. It is difficult to find anything online that can be trusted. We have found a few that we are kind of interested in, but the best way is by word of mouth, someone that has had a good experience from a breeder. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. We are also looking for one with a strong hunting background if possible, if not I can train him/her.

Maybe instead of being so picky about a purebred, why don't you rescue a mixed breed? There are so many that need homes, why encourage money hungry breeders? Check out petfinder.com.

Go to www.weimclubamerica.org  These clubs are made up of people that are very knowledgeable about the breed and know the breeders on a personal basis.  This would be the best place to start looking.
